The Emmanuel Presbyterian Church (EPC) Prayer Group meets each Wednesday. If you wish to submit a prayer request to the EPC Prayer Group, please click on this link (EPCprayer97@gmail.com). The identities of people requesting prayers are kept confidential (i.e. email headers are removed from emails prior to distribution to the Prayer Group, meaning that only the email administrator will have access to this information).
If your prayer request is sensitive, you may request that prayer over your request be limited to Pastor Jane and me. After each gathering, you will receive a confirmation email affirming that your request was lifted up in prayer. If your prayer request is submitted after Noon on Weds., then your request will be added to the next week's gathering.
Submission of a prayer request will add your email address to our distribution list for the Prayer Group only, which means you will receive weekly reminders to submit future prayer requests. If at any time you wish to be removed from the Prayer Group email distribution list, just send an email to the link above and request removal.
If you wish to receive our weekly EPC newsletter, just send an email to the link above requesting to be added to the newsletter distribution group.
The following scriptures reinforce the reasons and need for prayer by God's children:
Ephesians 6:18 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Romans 8:26-27 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Philippians 4:6 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Psalm 102:17 (NIV) 17 He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
Matthew 26:41 (NIV) 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Luke 6:27-28 (NIV) Love for Enemies. 27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 1:11 New International Version (NIV) 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
Thank you for the honor of praying for you,
