Emmanuel Presbyterian Church

Maybe you’re looking for a church that feels real. Maybe you’ve been burned before, maybe you’re not sure what you believe, or maybe you just know you don’t want something polished and performance-driven.

EPC might be the place for you.

We began as a Bible study on a back porch in the woods of Fairview. Since then, we’ve grown—through donated land, a season worshiping in a trailer, and the generosity of people who believed in something they couldn't yet see—into a rooted congregation with a home of our own. We are still growing, and we expect we always will be.

We are liturgical, which means our worship follows the ancient rhythms of the church—seasons, prayers, Scripture, and song—that have fed Christians for two thousand years. We are also, frankly, a mixed bag of people who don’t all see eye-to-eye on everything. We think that’s a feature, not a flaw.

What we agree on is this: the Bible matters, community matters, and God loves the world—not just the people who have it all figured out.

Come find out if these are your people.

Our Journey at a glance…

·       1996: Fifteen acres of land are gifted to the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee to plant a new congregation in Fairview.

·       2000–2009: Rev. Carol A. Tate arrives as the organizing, installed pastor. Under her leadership, the church building is completed and dedicated mortgage-free (2005), and EPC is officially chartered (February 12, 2006).

·       2009–2010: Rev. Bill Bryant serves as Interim Pastor.

·       2010–2013: Rev. Chris TerryNelson is called as installed Pastor

·       2014–2016: Rev. Blake Hawthorne serves as Interim Pastor.

·       2016–2019: Rev. Scott Huie serves as Interim Pastor.

·       2019–Present: Rev. Jane Herring is called as the installed Pastor.

Today, we continue to grow into our name, Emmanuel—“God with us”—seeking to be a place of spiritual formation and a genuine welcome for every person who walks through our doors.
