Evaluation of applications is due from evaluators July 20, 2024.
Award of Scholarship(s) will be July 28, 2024 immediately following services

Call it what you will, for a small church we are involved in many different local ministries, missions or outreach programs.
Funding for these giving programs come from various places, one of these places is you!

July Fellowship Activity:
Adults are invited to join the youth for a portion of their VBS activities on July 31st.
The youth will be meeting from 1-5 pm. in the EPC Sanctuary.
They will be doing an art activity that is appropriate for all ages, no skill necessary.
The congregation is invited to join in from 3-5 pm, followed by pizza dinner for all.
The EPC prayer service will be at 6 pm for those who wish to stay.

Coming up soon, take part in conversation about uniting the Bodies of Christ:
As a follow up to a previous meeting, there will be a conversation with Adam Buzard, who is part of the Operation Andrew Group. This will be hosted by the 2nd Presbyterian Church on April 18th from 9-11 am. as he works to fulfill the mission of uniting the bodies of Christ as they partner with local churches. 2nd Pres is located at 3511 Belmont Blvd and the conversation will center around “The State of Nashville”. It is open to anyone (pastors, elders, church volunteers) interested in knowing what others think of our church. The event is this scheduled for tomorrow.

VBS--- What to know...
The theme of VBS this year is The Living Waters
We will meet on Wednesdays, July 17 and 24 from 10-2 and on Wed. 31st from 1-5 pm
Bring a sack lunch for the 17th and the 24th.
Eat before you come on the 31st (1-5pm) but plan to stay for pizza after.
The congregation is invited on the 31st from 3pm – 5pm for activities, fellowship and
pizza
Please let Faith or Ginia know if you will be attending.

I will be gone for the next few weeks and the gardens will need tending.
There is a sign-up sheet by the front entrance and Ginia has offered to be
the point person to coordinate what needs doing.
watering (about an hour each time)
weeding (not hard but involves bending down to pull grass)
checking for health of plants (spray for bugs or remove caterpillars)
staking and training plants to climb the trellis (as needed: tomatoes, cucumbers and squash)
harvesting (the fun part)
delivering to maple village (as needed)
