Prepare for Sunday: Better Together

Have you ever looked at how things get done in the church and wondered, "Why do the wheels of church life move so slowly?"

There is actually a beautiful, deeply biblical reason for our pace and our structure.

This Sunday, we are diving into why we are "Better Together."
We will explore how the slow, shared work of community isn't corporate red tape…it is a vital spiritual discipline. Looking at the wisdom Jethro offered a burning-out Moses in Exodus 18, and Paul’s famous imagery of the body of Christ in 1 Corinthians 12, we will discover why sharing the burden of ministry keeps us healthy, keeps us humble, and keeps us connected.

If you’ve ever felt the exhaustion of trying to "go fast alone," this Sunday is an invitation to slow down and rediscover the joy of going together…and how the polity of the PC(USA) church is not only a way of governance, but a spiritual practice.

This Week’s Readings:

Old Testament: Exodus 18:13 - 24

New Testament: 1 Corinthians 12:14 - 22, 26

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the messy, beautiful, and essential gift of shared community!
